Flattery? No.

I'm trying to have a good attitude about this... but some girl must have literally held a piece of paper up to the computer screen and traced my tattoo. And has been around other forums talking about how she's getting it as a side piece... trying to pretend like she "drew" it. Fuck that.

At least give credit. Since, well, I actually do know who drew it. She eventually backpedaled and gave a weak sauce apology.

So hard for people to be original. Urgh. RANT.

Yeah... I know. I think what bothers me more is the complete inability of some people to do something that means something to THEM. Be different. Yeesh.

Poseurs will always be Poseurs....it's just that simple. They'd rather steal something and claim it as their own, than to be original.

Hey Steve, thats just a simple script called "Disable Right Click" and it does just that. There are Keyboard commands to get around it though..lol

She is not on comi, gomp. I was linked to a forum on bodymod.org. (barf)

Let me see if I can find her picture. It was literally just traced. It would be kind of nice to at least make it a little more complicated to copy someone's pictures.

Don't get me wrong, though. I did post here to share my ink. I'm not totally against the fact that other people may end up with something very similar. I think inspiration is a good thing.

    Ah here it is: http://i34.tinypic.com/211uclv.jpg

Damn, she could have at least used regular printing paper, to make it look less obvious...but she actually used tracing paper..lol

If that were my tattoo, I would have went on there and flamed and shamed her right off the website..lol If she liked the tattoo, she could have at least changed the peacocks pose and position and maybe some of the coloring. Then it would of been her own design, but that's kinda messed up that she just copied you straight out.

Well, I must say by far, yours is professional work. Looks better, and we all know is YOURS ... the original owner. If hers does reach inking stage, most likely by a hack, it won't resemble yours one iota.

Well namaste, it's not TOTAL crap. As a free site it was tolerable, but I'm not going to PAY for that kind of jackassery. There's a little bit of nice ink, but for the most part everyone gets excited about the more extreme mods and piercings. I have a few, but they're not as interesting to me as the ink is.

I didn't flame her. One of my RL friends is the one who sent me the link and he'd already done a fairly good job of setting her straight. I think it made her feel worse to find out we were all on to her. :)

I keep hoping that when she took this sketch in, the artist did some personalizing to do it. Unless she/he's a hack... in which case... HA HA.

If right click dont work, click and drag does. I dont know HOW they can keep it from happening. You can get ANY pic, from ANY site, if you want it bad enough

    namaste said:
The technology is there to stop copying of pics, a lot of web sites don't let you copy anything off their page. I was trying to copy some plain text from CNN (I think) about a news story and it wouldn't let me. If COMI had that people would have to ask you if they could use your pic.

    Just a thought.

i can copy just about any design i see without tracing, with no noticeable differences in detail, shape or size. and im sure there are a hundred others with the same skills on this site alone, it all comes down to morals and ethics. some people have them and some dont.

Its sad that someone has to pick work that someone else already has, especially when one look at yours, and they would know it's totally orig

Thank you. To be fair, it's not 100% original. I have a stained glass window in my kitchen that looks like this:

I took that photo in to Dave and told him to do something interesting with it... and he did!

I love peacocks... can you tell? lol

I'm super curious, too! I keep checking her bodymod profile to see if she posted anything. The whole forum post was about the fact that she wanted it as a side piece and whether or not it was going to hurt on her ribs. I laughed. Out loud. Twice.
