    Hello,

    Me again- sorry!

I've noticed over the past couple of days that white spots have appeared on my tattoo (which is now 7 weeks old).

I really don't remember them being there before? The look like very small (sorry to be gross!!) whiteheads....

You can't really notice them from a distance, but up close (i.e. me staring at my wrist) you can clearly see little white/skin coloured dots.

Does anyone know what they are, or, better yet, had experience of them?

Do they go away??? I will be so gutted if they don't :( I've done everything by the book caring for this tattoo and it still doesn't look how I wanted it too- still shiny and tight.

    Many many thanks!

    J x

You do get random spots under your tattoos, i sometimes get like kinda white spots then they turn into bits of broken skin, but the ink stays there, its deeper in your skin.

I've just taken a couple of photos to try and give you an idea of what I'm going on about :)

Yea it looks the same, when i got my first tattoo, a few days after i got big yellow spot come really far out of my skin but i left it and it dissapeared back in lol. My mate had same thing as well. But yea you seem to get random spots under your tattoos and it goes white until it goes away.

Gobbledigook- you, or your finace should I say lol, pick them??

I thought that was one of the cardinal rules: don't pick, scratch etc....

I had these on my sleeve and I think it was down to over moisturising. You can block the pores up and the only way your skin can get rid of the excess is through little white heads. Mine itched like a little bastard until it squeezed them, it wont cause any colour loss as the ink it set much deeper than the spot.

Thanks for all the replies! They have disappeared again now, and if they come back, I'll know what they are at least :)

    Mine didn't itch- thankfully!

Suzukidude- yes, the peeling finally stopped, took a good 5 weeks though!

Thanks again everyone for the reassurance.

Just to say that they've gone- so thanks again everyone for helping me out and stopping me worrying!!

Suzukidude- oh yes, I have lots of ideas for my next one- thinking of a quote on my lower back or rib, or the coordinates of where I was born, and so the list goes on!!

These are just pimples from the ointment 'cause it's so fatty. It's normal. Just don't scratch or peel it open.
