A Tribute In memory of Tatiana The Tiger
On christmas day of 2007 at San Fransico zoo .A beautiful Tiger named Tatiana was taunted by three boy's. She did what any wild animal would do and defended herself. Sadly a boy died and two others were injured. Tatiana was shot by police on the spot and killed. When I heard about what happened my heart breaked into pieces. I alway's felt wild animals should be in there own enviroment, unless the chance of survival was slim or if they were already born and raised in a zoo. I had Tatiana's portrait done on my back couple months ago. Last tuesday my artist and I decided on two Phoenix birds, one male and one female. Phoenix Birds A mythical bird that never dies, the phoenix flies far ahead to the front they symbolize immortality, resurrection and life after death. I have posted photo's of only the top half though this piece goes all the way down to my butt cheecks (lol) . I lost 40 lbs so far and as soon as I get to my goal weight I will share the full photo of this piece with you. I am still deciding on colors. This tattoo took 7 hours straight. Luckily I have a high tolerance for pain. I sit through the whole process very well and focused. I should be back in chair for coloring first week of april. Hugs

What a beautiful tribute to Tatiana. The incident at the San Francisco Zoo was so unfortuante and sad. I absolutely love tigers and just got my second tiger tat last week. I also have a TIGER NEWS site you might be interested in at http://savethetigers62.blogspot.com/

I love this tattoo... the eyes of the tiger look right through, and the shading techniques was done very well...
