For my first tattoo I wanted to get something that represented my pride in my family. My wife and I have been married for thirteen years and we have an amazing six year old daughter.

I must have searched for three months for a symbol that expressed my feeling for my wife and daugther. Finally I could take in no more. I designed one myself.

The dolphins represent my wife and I. When we were on our honeymoon in the Bahamas we went on scuba dive in open ocean and swam with a dolphin. We have a video tape of it all. Quite a life changing event for us.

We have been calling our daughter our "little ladybug" for most of her life. Before she was born and before we "officially" named her we called her "Fargus the Brave" (you have to whip out you best Scottish/Irish voice when you say it). No real reason, heard it on an old episode of Darma & Greg, just liked the way it sounded.

The three rings represent our marrage, our strength to get through life together and the circle of life.
