Phi: The Golden Ratio
This is the Greek uppercase letter "phi." In sequencing, "phi" represents the Golden Ratio, which equals about 1.618. This ratio is supposively the most pleasing ratio to the eye, which is why televisions can only be bought 16 by 9, etc. The Golden Ratio is derived from the Fibonacci Sequence, which is my obsession. If you'd like to know more about it, look at the Wikipedia page. It is very interestinjg!
