First tat! Dragon Koi and crab
The idea was to start with something that could be expanded if I liked getting the first... ha ha ha I love the pain, so now this is the start of a full back. sticking with the Japanese water theme.
UPDATE: ended up with a new artist and more like 3/4 back. just got the outline today and color starts next month. Have two new pojects in mind for the next few years, one for each leg. Ganesha and an abstract

I have been better educated as of late. What I see as rocks is the traditional way of doing sky. It should have more gradiant however. It can be fixed I am told. thanks all for the feedback. I am going in next week to craft the full back and am looking to add a female samurai in a soft pink and other images to fill in the back

maybe you could turn the water into a water fall down your back. coming from a sort of rock pool up the top (seeing as though the sky was replaced with rocks)

My tattoo artist is VERY SLOW. He has about 10+ yrs of experience, but is very detail oriented. I started towards the beginning of the summer. I go back every 2 weeks. Weve done about 8, 4hr sessions. I have another one this Friday, so I will get an update posted on this site. Thanks for the awesome comment!
