Mutsuo & Piradical
My first tattoo, a half sleeve, lol. I picked the two most important things to me in relation to the past two years.
Artist: Shannon
Parlor: Midwest Tattoo Co.
The girl was inspired by artwork done by the tattoo artist Mutsuo who works at Three Tides Tattoo in Japan. I read an article about Three Tides in Juxtapoz Magazine and had been looking for a Japanese fighter girl that looked similar to a Samurai to emulate my father's samurai tattoo. I wanted to get a tattoo for him to express our solidarity, even though we've had some rough times together.
The scroll is in katakana, a form of Japanese used to write out foreign words. The characters read "Pa-ii-ra-do-ku-ru" which is supposed to spell out Piradical. www.myspace.com/piradical productions for a better explanation than what I'll give you, but basically before I met the Piradical crew I didn't have much going for me. We're like The Goonies, but we book concerts and stay up late watching b-movies. My family, my strength, the logo is at the bottom of the scroll also. I owe my life to those goons.
