The Velvet Underground (VU meter)

Third tattoo.
Ok this a volume units meter, which were used in music production studios until the 70's or so. It's an homage to The Velvet Underground because this is an album cover of theirs. So VU stood for volume units as well as Velvet Underground. The signal being all the way in the red signifies distortion, which was an obvious staple of their music. <3 this, my favorite tattoo.
