Eeeeem they make a pocket under the skin using a slanted needle. then pop the jewlery in pretty much ha. took 2 seconds and i was suprised at how painless it was. the only problem has been my chest one, the back one healed fine but the front one is still giving me a lot of bother, i think its coz its on the bone maybe. The jewlery is kind shaped like a T under my skin to hold it in place and has little holes in it for the skin to grow through - to anchor it in place i suppose
