The quote is "Battles Are Really Won Before The First Fight"
it is from the book The Art Of War and basically means that things are won and lost in preparation. Games are won in practice, battles are won in training, etc. etc.
Also the 4 letters capitalized and in red are "LYNH" in that order and that is an arconym(sp?) for a saying my favorite coach would always tell us before games and that is "Let Your Nuts Hang" (basically meaning to give it all you got and leave it all on the field"
