Tila Nguyen AKA: TILA TEQUILA
Born October 24, 1981 in Singapore, her family emigrated from Vietnam after the Vietnam War when she was one. Vietnamese by birth, blond by choice...;) They moved to the Houston, Texas neighborhood of Alief, where they lived in rundown housing for most of her childhood until
the family was admitted to a gated community run by a strict
Buddhist temple. They left the community when she was eight.
As soon as she entered middle school, she developed a tomboy attitude and got in fights. Her behavior eventually got her sent to a boarding school for six months before being transferred to another school. As soon as she reached high school, she used her sister's identification card to get into the nightclubs, where she began recreational drug use and joined a gang. Bad news. Later she made some friends outside the gang who briefly helped turn her life around, however her past caught up to her, and she fled to Queens, New York at the age of sixteen.
Her career began when she was 18 when a scout from Playboy approached me @ the Sharpstown Mall in Houston She offered her a chance to do a test shoot, posing nude for the magazine. After moving to Southern Cali she was featured as Playboy's Cyber Girl of the week on April. 22.2002, and not long after became the fist Asian Cyber Girl of the Month!!!...;)
That was pre-myspace...then we all know how the rest of the world came to know her as Tila Tequila....;)

* included in Stuff’s 100 Sexiest Women Online.
* August 2006 Maxim UK cover, was named #88 in their Hot 100 List and also appeared in the December 2007 issue.
* made an appearance as one of the 12 strangers in the first game on the April 6, 2007 episode of NBC's game show Identity.
* On March 4, 2007 Nguyen made a cameo on the show "War At Home"
*On October 9, 2007, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila aired on MTV
