DWAYNE YEAKEL

I have been drawing since i was little as a self-tough artist. I have done many different mediums. One thing i have always been interested was tattooing, but never thought i could get into with my situation and having a full time job. Until one day working at my miserable job it just popped into my head "i want to tattoo!" So i began searching online began. Knowing how i feel about most tattoo shops and artists and finding a place to maybe apprentice. So when i was searching on the internet (that would change my life forever) i came across The Tattoo Learning Center. After thinking about checking it out on their website and in person, the next thing i was signed up and before i knew it was i out to New York! For two straight everyday for 8 hours i learned everything about: tattoo machines and power sources, tattoo inks, different needles, cover-ups, what makes a good tattoo, good placing of tattoos, color and shading of tattoos, sterilization, blood-borne pathogen studies, other health issues with tattoos, client relationships and business skills. Lisa Fasulo gave me the tools and confidents i need to go into the tattoo industry. After getting back i learned about tattooing laws and regulations in the state of Pennsylvania and began to drum up business. A few months after tattooing back at home, i went back to New York to do a portrait seminar with Ryan Miller, to learn how to do photo realistic black and grey and color portraits. I feel by not doing an apprenticeship i have learned more then i ever could have and still learning about tattooing and ethics. I stand behind my work 100%. I am working on to open my own tattoo studio by this fall/winter! ***PLEASE NOTE: I do not draw tattoos for people unless i am 100% tattooing them.***
