Been feeling sick for last 3 nights
-
On Monday night I got my buckcherry black butterfly tattoo on my inner right wrist right on my vein while I was getting tattooed I looked and my wrist was bleeding alot and that same night I got my period too!
My wrist tattoo has been hurting the last few nights and i've been having bad cramping in my stomache worse than usual and i'm bleeding/clotting alot and I have pain in my abdomen and lower back -
Hope you feel better soon, but maybe you should see the doc and get yourself checked out to be on the safe side, take it easy ;-)

It's just I felt really sick and the lower back pain has subsided since this afternoon and the bleeding isn't nearly as bad as it was but the cramping is still there -
Elizabeth it may not even be related , but i too think a docs advice , and checkup might be a good idea to make sure everything is fine . Best of Luck to you ...i hope you start feelin better very soon !

your body might j/ be freakin out.
getting/healing a tattoo is difficult enough on the body as it is. add getting your period & any other taxing behaviors on your body like drinking/smoking/etc..& it could get messy.
the reason you get cramps when you get your period is cause of leukotrienes which are part of the inflammatory response when your body is squeezing out the old endometrial tissue that didnt get used (cause you didnt get pregnant). these get released when you get a tatt too cause your body perceives it as being attacked & that part of your body swells, etc. what i think happened is that your body, with a combination of both a tattoo & your period, overcompensated. also youre prostaglandin levels are probably off.
best thing you can do is get some heating pads & take some NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines) like aspiring or ibuprofen to help w/ the swelling in your uterus.
the bleeding may be due to a decrease in iron in your body. the excessive bleeding can also be caused by a hormonal imbalance.
there's my 2 cents... dont think you have anything to freak out ab ;o)
all this info thanks to having an ex w/ insane cramps during periods which were taken out on me until i fixed that problem & previously being pre-med before deciding law school was a much better fit lol.
hope youre feelin better love...btw avenged rocks!
