I grew up in Jo'Burg. It's pretty dry and depressing up there. I live on the east coast of SA, it's always warm and tropical here, the people are beautiful, its summer all year long, even in winter, and the ocean is amazing. Tell your family to get their asses to Durban. They'll be happier.

It's COMPLETELY addictive! I mean, I got my first and only one (to date) about a month ago, and all I think about is my next one. I want my next tat on my my right side ribs too, alas, if I do, i'll have no rib spots left. So i'll save it. But yeah... more ink on the way. Can't wait to taint my betrayed skin, and post more pics. Where am I from you ask... South Africa.
I enjoyed it. It was my first so I have nothing to compare the pain to. Wasn't that sore, I dozed off to the sweet buzzing of the tat machine. I want another one!!! SOON!
