Some of My Favorite Books areTHE GIFT OF VALOR by Michael Phillips... Its a story about a US Marine, Corporal Jason Dunham, who while on a patrol in Iraq, an insurgent jumped from a car and grabbed him around the neck. While fighting hand - to -hand in the dirt the insurgent dropped a grenade. Cpl, Dunham placed his helmet and himself over the grenade to save his men. He died 8 days later after multilple surgeries to save his live. He was subsequently awarded the Congressional Medal Of Honor
