I WANNA KNOW,HOW COME EVERYTIME YOU JOIN A SITE LIKE THIS ,THERES ONE OR TWO ASSHOLES WHO STEAL EVERYBODYS ART AND PUT IT ON THEIR PAGE,CLAIMING TO BE 'HELPING OUT' AND 'ADVERTISING' ARTISTS.
BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY THEYRE JUST FUCKIN TALENTLESS THIEVES WHO CAN'T POST ANYTHING WORTHY THEY MAY HAVE DONE THEMSELVES.AND THEY ALWAYS PUT THE STUFF YOURE PROUD OF WITH THE MOST FUCKIN ORDINARY SHIT.
IF YOU SEE PEOPLE POSTING SHIT THAT AINT THEIRS ..CALL EM ON IT !!! -
I think the clue is in the name , Check out MY ink, I must admit I have 2 pics in my private section that are not mine but they are only there for their novelty value and I never claim that they are mine, but I totally agree with what you say

INTERESTING,IVE SUED A MAGAZINE FOR PUBLISHING ONE OF MY PICS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.THEY PAID SOME COMPANY A FEW GRAND FOR THE RIGHTS TO USE THE PIC,EXCEPT THE COMPANY STRAIGHT UP LIFTED IT OFF MY WEBSITE.
I AGREE SOMETIMES WITH PERMISSION FROM THE ARTIST OR PHOTOGRAPHER THAT ITS OK AS LONG AS YOURE CREDITING THE ARTIST DUELY, BUT IF YOUR WHOLE PAGE IS RIPPED OFF PHOTOS AND ART,I HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM.
ALSO I WOULD NOT THAT THE TITLE ITSELF 'CHECK OUT MY INK' IMPLIES YOU ARE DISPLAYING 'YOUR' INK OR PHOTOGRAPHY.
RECENTLY IVE FOUND ON ANOTHER WEBSITE AN ARTIST WHO HAS MADE A PAGE BY LIFTING ART DESIGNS FROM TATTOODLES AND POSTED THEM AS HIS OWN.HE SLIGHTLY CHANGED THEM AND WAS SELLING THEM FOR A PROFIT, AND TAKING CREDIT AND COMENTING ON THE TIME IT TOOK TO PRODUCE THE ARTWORK.UN FORTUNATELY HE DIDNT CHANGE THEM ENOUGH NOT TO RECOGNISE THEM EASILY.
AS FAR AS LAWS GO,I SUGGEST YOU TRY AND MAKE A PAGE OF MCDONALDS ADDS CLAIMING YOU MADE THEM AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS -
some but not all of the people here will give credit where it is due when they post others work . others such as myself dont pull anything off the net and post it , your right when ya say this site is named CHECKOUTMYINK to me that means MY ink is posted in my Pictures no other work at all, however those that give the cridit due are also helping to spred the Ink out there so dont be down on this site for the transgresions of those others who dont take your concerns to them in a adult manner and you might be surprised at the result. as always this site is voluntary and if it upsets you that much your free to remove your profile, I do ask that you give us a chance and if possible try to help us improve our site . take care and wear the INK

TOTAL RESPECT TO THE SITE OR I WOULDNT BE A PART OF IT, HOWEVER WHEN PEOPLE USE MY,AND OTHER PEOPLES ART TO GENERATE POPULARITY FOR THEMSELVES AND SEE HOW MANY HITS THEY CAN GET AND SHIT LIKE THAT, THEN I CALL EM ON IT AND DEMAND MY WORK STAYS ON MY PAGE.
POSTING OTHER PEOPLES WORK IS LIKE WINNING AT THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS....YOUR A WINNER BUT STILL KINDA FUCKED !!!!!

ive had to deal with this on here before and both people swore up and down it was their work when clearly it didnt belong to one of the guys because his other work couldnt compare to the quality of the actual artist..
its like putting up your personal info on the web.. anyone can see it, get to it, use it.. and what not.. watermarks are usually what works.. but i can see the frustration.. its not necessarilly the sites fault but the lack of respect people tend to have for other peoples work.. didnt anyone pay attention to the classroom rules in grade school? people have no sense of common sense these days and thats an unfortunate thing..
we here at comi dont have a lot of control of what is uploaded on whos page.. all we are really crackin the whip on is pornographic pictures because we could ultimately loose the site.
thanks for still being here brad.. its hard to please everyone.. and tattoo artist especially.. but we do what we can.
