Yea I read about this today too. I don't think she fell asleep, I think she just didn't like how it turned out after it was said and done. There is no way you can sleep through that much ink getting done on your face.

I also watched this story on sky news, & I agree, I don't think she could have 'gone to sleep whilst being tattooed on her face' (with doubt, sober & not under the influence of drugs)? Apparently this is what she wanted until her father saw it. The artist claims she got up a couple of times during the session to look in the mirror & then she wanted to carry on. The artist also claims he has a witness. I do feel sorry for the artist, although I would question the idea that "as an artist" u can turn business away if u dnt feel it's appropriate for the client, i.e this girl in particular doesn't appear to have any other visible tattoos, so to do a facial piece like this doesn't seem in the clients best interests..... Has any one client / artist ever had a similar experience? p.s I'm glad it's not me!

I also wanted to interject that we all know, even as clients, not even artists, that drinking and drugs will cause all kinds of swelling and shit while being tatttoo'd, just because I'm diabetic, I know what needs to be done to successfully get tattood, so llike someone said, stupid, stupid girl. oh, maybe it was idiot....whatever.

A tattoo is for life and needs alot of thought behind it....

I agree that it is next impossible to fall asleep while gettin a tattoo, while I was gettin one of my tattoos done I did fall asleep but when he put that needle on my arm, it didn't hurt but I did wake the f**k up and stayed up... so yeah it's bull s**t... she just wanted all the attetion we're giving her...

It is true she did tell the reporter she had made it all up once he told her the camera wasn't running. She admited that was what she wonted and liked the design it wasnt till she got home and her dad went mental that she got scared and told him that she fell asleep and that the tattooist did it without her concent. The artist had agreed to pay for half the cost of removing it just because he didnt wont an unhappy customer but has since retracted that offer acording to the reporters story

And here I was thinking that I was unique because I almost always fall asleep when I have new tats done nowadays. This never happened when I was younger and got my old tattoos in Singapore but ever since Max, my regular tattoo artist in Penang, started doing the second koi on my shoulder last year, I have been falling asleep almost as soon as the needle hits my skin. And yes, I snore. At least Max says so.
