Guard your bank cards

So upset right now - this weekend some lowlife emptied my bank account. I guess they cloned my card and took all my money out of 4 ATMs around the OC. The bank are looking into it and we should get back what they took but boy does it make you think...who did I give my card to recently to pay for something? Did someone stand behind me at Mcdonalds and make a note of my PIN?
People - I'd hate anyone to go through what I am right now - with no job and bills staking up -so EVERYONE (yes even you DWB) be very careful who handles your cards, don't let anyone out of your sight with your card in their hand (card copying machines are as small as the cards themselves these days) and always check over your shoulder when at the ATM...

It's too bad that these low life loosers can't work a honest job and fuck over the hard working folks.....I have had this type of card fraud happen to me before it makes me look at everyone suspicously.....not that I wan't to paint everyone with the same brush...but who can you trust anymore??? Pathetic!!! I feel for ya Paul!

Hey my brother just went through this,he used his card while getting gas and his wife jumped his shit when she noticed all the money missing turns out they have a way of getting your info when you use your card at the pump to pay for gas. Luckily the bank covered it only because his wife called right away.Bunch of fucking shit,my brother just lost his house and going through a bunch of shit and then thieving bastards do this shit. So sorry this happened to you babe.

Thanks you guys..the annoying thing is like Shaun said - you end up trusting nobody, not even the legitimate people just running a business...The bank said they had two cards listed on the account, which I queried. How can these people register another card on my private bank account? Surely, they would need insider help to do that.
The guy at the bank said "Unfortunately not everyone working at the bank is honest"...scary thought eh?

sorry Paul, I've had my card cloned before and it sucks. I was a bit luckier than you and caught it before too much damage nothe less it leaves you feeling extremely violated..

im really sorry 2 hear that hun , im sure ull get it all back , the same thing happend 2 a family friend a week befor christmas last year they got about 20,000 out of his bank but got it back , hope everythin gets sorted hun , its just to easy to get ur banking identity stolen these days x

Had a load of that in our town last year ......The wankers were adding new fronts to the ATM machines and downloading all the details remotely ..................Don't stand a chance with that scam !!!!....

This does sound like an inside job though. I'd get in touch with the Banking Ombudsman to investigate, as the banks can cover these costs by creating clever interest charges to cover their expected annual losses. This way the bank would have to carry out an investigation and respond to you with their findings! Just a thought which is no compensation for your loss mate, sorry! :(

I had the same thing happen to me i had to prove to the bank that i didnt make the charges it took six weeks for my account to be positive again in the mean time the bank was kind enough to charge me over the limit and over draft fees

My mate had her card cloned recently too.. someone (from Slough.. no surprises there) used her details to top up their mobile phone! Hopefully it's traceable.. Can't STAND thieves!!!!

It would have been worthwhile them doing it if you could have caught them in the act. I wouldn't have stopped punching until they stopped twitching, godless peices of shit.
I hope this gets sorted asap for you mate. My old man had something similar from Ebay. He make horses sadles for a living and bought a proffesional leather sowing machine for about £3000, the poeple cloned paypall and wiped his bank account.

i had my card and details cloned, but the first time they used the card they were caught, I was way over my max limit and Visa had put a flag on my card and before I knew it had been cloned they had been caught, they were using a false front to an ATM. They got a slap on the wrist and a suspended sentence (and a fucking good kicking when my mate the court usher let slip some names and addresses )
why should they stop when they don`t get punished for it ,
