Long Beach Fight Night Next Event Sunday January 3 2010
For those in SoCal one of the best local promotion is held at the Hall of Champions in Long Beach by the Long Beach Fight Night Organization.
A great small venue with excellent seats that start at $25 with Ring level seats for $55 that are so close to the ring you can almost feel the blood spatter!!!!!!
The event on October 18 was fantastic as always and started with a brutal 3 rounds of action in the heavy weight division between Manny Bam Bam Lara (on Linked In) and Deigo Hernandez that ended with a vicious KO early in round 3.
These two guys were amazing, the bout was full of action and was more like watching a 135lb match instead of one in the HW division.

Man that sounds like an awesome fight. I was pissed when Lesnar pulled out of the Carwin fight. They said it was because he was ill....i think he was just scared of loosing that title and looking like a big bitch.

lol its LESNAR!!...with an A! An yeah, I really don't like him. i think he is a roided up Jock that is also probably the closest thing to a living Neanderthal. I hated him when he was a "wrestler" in WWE an after the disrespect he showed the cage, fans and his opponent, the only thing i hope for him, is that he gets put into a spinal lock and his back is broken. Then there won't be anymore "going home and Jumping on the wife!" I'd rather see Tank Abbots blubber ass fight, than I would Lesnar. Or even Kimbo Slice for gods sake! lol

Lesner may put butts in the seats but he is clearly WWE material.
He has no sense of honor, no sign of having any understanding of the basis of all the martial arts that are at the root of MMA!

Well said Beastie! His first fight, he looked completely freaking awkward and it wasn't even an MMA fight, it was just a talentless brawl. Then this second fight with Mir was a black eye on the face of MMA, period. No honor, no respect, no sign of having any understanding of the basis of what Martial Arts is. An I would even bet MONEY that he doesn't know the roots of MMA or that the Gracies started UFC. Then Dana White got a hold of it and well, we see what it has become. They let anyone in.

The only thing Lesnar respects is $. Period. The guy is like school on sunday, NO CLASS. Dana White should have canned his ass after that embarassment of a post fight interview in which he slams just about everything MMA.
The guy has got to go. WWE is right Beastie. -
Hey Blacksunshine, did you notice, at the press conference the day AFTER that....Lesnar was drinking a Budweiser? The very sponsor of UFC, which he put down on national Television. I believe his words were to the effect. "I'm going to drink a cooler full of Coors, because Budweiser wouldn't pay me enough!"
I've heard that Dana White took him into the locker room and chewed him out after that little WWE-esque stunt and that was the reason he was so apologetic and drinking a Budweiser, at the press conference the day after the fight.
I want to see someone beat him so bad, that he gets knocked out in a puddle of his own blood. but not before making him tap out. A guy like that, needs some humility like being made to tap out.
