Oh man, I have a friend who has a misspelled tattoo...It's supposed to say "beautiful"...The vowels are all mixed up. I feel sorry for her, but at the same time...I don't.
How can people do this? So lame.

I think that's just another reason for me to never get any tats done with words. You can mess up a symbol or design and will barely even be noticeable, but if ya mess up on yet tat spellcheck, that's just sad. I feel for those peeps out there that've had this happen. We should all throw in a dollar to help get them new coverup tats. Sorta like a fundraiser.
Its also a good idea I think, to check out your tat artist and make sure he/she is literate.

i had my grandsons name put on the back of my neck it was spelled ok but then i got a large lump in the middle of it that i had to have removed and now its a mess so i am having it removed by lazer. so what cost me £40 to have done is now costing me £350 to be removed if all goes well with the treatment but it will be worth it a miss spelt tattoo looks so bad dont you think

to animehead: that is a great idea. I know a guy that got his son's name and birthdate on his back, and the guy spelled born "bron" that sucks right.....

After seeing all of the misspelled tattoos on manshows profile i had this instant urge to check the tattoo on my left arm.... and thank you god it was all spelt correctly but i guess i never even thought that someone would be dumb enough to get it wrong.... lol

Sooo I'm a BIG fan of stenciling...and of checking what the artist puts on you before he/she actually tattoos it on! You gotta check that stuff dude! hahah.

for me I get you to spell it then stencil it and read it back to you (letter for letter).so if there is a fuck up it would be there fault

yeah i have script across my back, and when I told the tattooist what it was to say he spelt it wrong writing it down. But i checked it and pointed out the mistake before he started. It's your responsibility to check what's going on your skin!
