fallen friend

on wendsday 6/25 we lost a fellow officer, murdered by a inmate. i work for the florida department of corrections, for the last 12 years. my brother also works for them. this officer worked at tomoka correctional institution with my brother. she was taken from her family and friends. it is with a sad heart i write this, to all my fellow officers around the country i commend you on the job you do and the sacrifices you make. with deep sorrow sergeant g lafaso

I as well am sorry for your loss. Unfortunate loss of life is always a dreadful thing to deal with. It is harder when it is a brother officer. My condolences to you and their family.
